It’s the time when I know a lot of us students are dreading. Back to School Month! Summer is over and school is storming in reminding us to stay educated along with the stress of all the work. How can we manage this school year after returning from a nice break from school? Here’s some things you should know and look out for this school year.
What should we do to prepare?
Working out a schedule is a good start. You can make it through many platforms such as Google Calendar or task manager, as well as getting a physical planner to help organize your assignments and when it's due. I like to have a mix of physical notebooks for homework and plans and use a schedule maker to layout my classes as a college student, so I can manage my time and not fall behind.
How can I deal with stress?
There are many ways to deal with stress. Foremost if you stay organized and on top of schoolwork it makes it more manageable in the future than cramming it at the last minute. Proper time management leaves a lot less headache in the future. When it comes to the overwhelming feel of assignments, a good tactic to use it breaking them into chunks. Set a time for each assignment you want to work on and give a 30 min break in between. Allowing yourself in between gives your brain a refresh and lets you distress.
Take a walk if it becomes too frustrating or play a game or even a hobby that helps you relax. Finding a good work environment without distractions also helps you stay focused and in the zone. Music can be a good way to study as well as listening to music without lyrics like Lofi or white noise that is specifically tailored to help your brain clear out. It depends on what works for you, but you need to look out for yourself and manage your time well.
Stay focused this school year and Goodluck to everyone! I wish the best and can’t wait to start another year filled with a lot of new information keeping the mind active. If you want a good music plan deal Spotify has a cheap plan for students that you can check out in my resources. Happy schooling!
